A history of Praetoria Imperialis by Coljun Praefectus.
As time goes by the world changes. Conflicts become forgotten, old Alliances crumble and new ones are forged. Night turns to day and rain into sunshine. As the world changes so do the creatures who inhabit the world. Old leaders and heroes step down to let new ones take their places. Once, long ago when PIE was led by the mage Takumi, a member of Terenas’ council before the plague, they sought to unite the mortal races in their struggle against the Scourge, the Burning legion and other threats to the world, and bring peace to Azeroth. Takumi was a wise leader, and upheld the ideals of peace, justice and honour in this golden age of PIE. However these ideals were not met kindly everywhere, and PIE, one of the few remnants of more peaceful times, faded away. Not everyone was so willing to just let their beliefs go. Several old members of PIE founded new groups that kept a close connection with each other. The largest of these groups, Praetoria Imperalis, was again led by PIE’s old leader Takumi. But Takumi mysteriously disappeared soon after, and the able Forsaken priest Cabot took over leadership. Under his rule several of the groups that splintered from PIE rejoined the order: The Thunderhorn Tribe, The Barrens Watch and lastly the Twilight Runners. With the change of leadership, the ideals and goals of Praetoria Imperalis changed. Preatoria Imperalis was no longer craving for peace between the Alliance and the Horde for neither group was ready for it. Even though Praetoria Imperalis still did not encourage open war with the Alliance, they would face them if they threatened the lands of the Horde. Over time several members of Cabot’s order stood brave on many grounds of battle across the world and were both respected and feared by their foes. But the world is changing fast these days and Cabot sensed this. Praetoria Imperalis doesn’t need a healing touch from their leader while the world is gearing up for war; they need a strong able bodied warrior to protect and lead them into battle. So Cabot figured, and he handed over leadership to the steadfast warrior Zanne, deeming her able to guide them through these harsh times. The former mercenary possesed great courage and formidable cunning beneath her rough manners, and would need both as she rallied the Praetoria against the greatest threats they had ever faced. And so a new chapter in the history of Praetoria Imperalis opens, a chapter you can be part of. |
